Archetype of the month (August): Salamangreats (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Image
The featured Archetype of the Month for Yu-Gi-Oh! is Salamangreat! The Salamangreat archetype is a mainly fire-attributed Cyberse deck, in which the focus is kept on sacrificing cards to revive link monsters from your extra deck over and over again. The boss monsters of the archetype are Salamangreat Heatleo, who can revive himself through the use of reincarnation, and Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix, who when reincarnated link summoned, can wipe the field of all other cards in play.  Salamangreat banner provided by:  Siding For: Salamangreats (tcgplayer.com)

Card Game Rules you may not have known! - (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Image
When playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, one of the major playstyles of cards and archetypes is the use of Fusion monsters. Fusion is achieved by having a card within your Extra Deck that has monsters listed that it needs to be fused together, typically with the basic polymerization card, as shown above. Fusion monster cards are typically purple in color, and are fairly powerful, due to being difficult to bring out onto the battlefield. Decks that use fusion monsters that are currently popular in the game space are: Shaddolls, HEROs, and Ancient Gear Decks. The reason why fusion decks are hard to use is due to the conditions of pulling off a fusion summon. Typically a fusion summon must be performed by having the required fusion spell or trap card in your hand or on the field, the required monster in your extra deck, and having the required monsters needed to summon the monster in your hand or on your field already. This means that your opponent can block your fusion summon with the use of traps

Card Game Rules you may not have known! - [Cardfight! Vanguard]

Image
Cardfight Vanguard is a decently complicated game, and one of it's newest major rules is the use of Imaginary Gift cards/markers. Every grade 3 within the V Series of Vanguard cards now comes with its own ability, which gives the player the ability to add one of the three above cards to their play field. Each of the cards above have different effects. However, only specific clans can use the imaginary gifts to the best of their ability.  What each of the Gifts can do: Protect: Adds a perfect shield or sentinel to your hand when you ride a grade 3 with the protect marker. Accel: Gives the user a permanent additional front row [RC], and adds 10000 power to the unit placed on that space. Force: Whenever a grade 3 with a force marker is placed, a power boost of 10000 is added to the unit the force marker card is placed on, and you can stack these for a cumulative bonus.  Clans that can use the Protect Gift: Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Granblue, Megacolony, Nubatama, and Oracl

Card of the day: Blaster Blade

Blaster Blade is a grade 2 unit, making him decently powerful upon the battlefield, but not as powerful as his grade 3 allies.  Card Information and Abilities: Blaster Blade [Grade 2] [Intercept] [10000 Power] [Clan: Royal Paladin] [Human]  Card Flavor text: Courage is the sword of light.
